Have some questions about your new Nakedvice piece? You've come to the right place! Here is a breakdown of your most common leather questions answered by our Design Team!
HOW DO I CLEAN MY LEATHER?
Shine your leather by using a soft dry cloth and applying pressure in circular motions. If you stain your leather, treat it ASAP! Depending on the nature of the stain you should be able to lift it after rubbing white chalk on the affected area and brushing it off after a few hours. This should absorb any oil or water marks. If the stain is severe, don't be afraid to take your leather to a specialist for professional cleaning advice.
WHAT DO I DO IF I GET MY LEATHER WET?
Getting your leather wet can cause it to swell or wrinkle. If this happens we suggest blotting the leather with a dry cloth and allowing it to air-dry in an open space. We also recommend waterproofing your leather to avoid any irreversible oily or acidic stains!
WHERE IS YOUR LEATHER SOURCED FROM?
We source our leather from China and Korea, which is equal in quality to Italian leathers!
HOW IS YOUR LEATHER SOURCED?
Our design team make regular trips to China to hand-source the leather used to craft each and every Nakedvice piece!
WHY IS ITALIAN LEATHER SO SPECIAL?
One of the reasons Italian leather is so highly regarded is because of its quality. The very best craftsmanship and care goes into manufacturing Italian leather, where only the best quality hides are used.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY 'TOP GRAIN' LEATHER?
Top Grain leather refers to the process of sanding away any imperfections or natural marks on the surface of the hide. Basically, Top Grain leather is genuine leather that has been perfected in order to achieve a smoother surface.
MY LEATHER HAS SCRATCHES/MARKS ON IT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Some leathers are softer and suppler than others. If you have dented a delicate leather, we suggest carefully applying a low level of heat to remove any imperfections—this can be done using a hairdryer. Alternatively, you can try and buff out the mark or scratch with a leather polishing cloth using small circular motions.
MY LEATHER IS REALLY STIFF, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Leather is naturally stiff and will soften with time, the beauty of this (especially in jackets and shoes) is that the leather will gradually mould itself to fit you perfectly!
CAN I USE LEATHER CONDITIONER ON MY BAG?
Yes! As leather is animal skin, we advise you condition it using a leather conditioner to prevent drying or cracking in colder weather, just as you would moisturise your own skin.
