I studied HMUA back in NZ on a one year scholarship. After graduating I didn’t pursue it until I moved to Sydney. Keep learning - watch tutorials, online education, assisting, YouTube etc.
Putting effort into your socials, it’s your portfolio that the entire world gets to see.
Once you decide what type and style of makeup you like to do put mostly those images out on your social that way you will attract that type of client and people will know your style.
Learn to take good clear piccys for your socials, don’t worry about posting everyday, just put the work up that you love and are proud of, quality over quantity.
Create content, team up with a hair stylist if you don’t do hair. Learning hair is the key in this industry.
Most importantly, enjoy what I think is the best industry to be in.
