I love a Spicy Margarita.

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INTO MAKEUP?

Sad story really… when I was 12, my best friend's older sister told me I'd look better with makeup so that was when I first picked up makeup!

TOP THREE BEAUTY PRODUCTS?

I’ve spent a long time thinking about this!

MASCARA

A good mascara is so essential and should be replaced every 3 months (especially if used daily). A good application of mascara can really elevate your look! Currently I am loving the Superhero Mascara by IT Cosmetics - holds a curl, adds volume and length.

BROWN PENCIL

There are so many ways you can use a brown pencil and it’s a key product in my makeup kit. Create a sultry smokey eye, a feline flick or use it to contour lips.

I am loving the Makeup Forever Limitless Brown (all their pencils are amazing).

GEL BRONZER

What’s the different between a gel and cream? Usually the gels set but are still really sheer. I am loving the Tom Ford Mens Bronzing Gel.

It gives the most natural bronze glow! I use it to warm the face, as eyeshadow, to contour my lips, use as freckles (just dip a thin brush into it).

Ciaté, Body Shop and Drunk Elephant have similar products to this too.

BEST SKIN CARE SECRET?

Double Cleanse.

Second Cleanse with an oil cleanser for minimum 60 seconds. This will give your skin a really great deep clean and give you the most beautiful glow! Trust me.

Also - less is more. I've been on such a journey with my skin. I completely stripped my barrier from using too many active ingredients - I was always breaking out in rashes and breakouts. I had to repair and rebuild my skin barrier and now use a Probiotic Skincare range called Amperna and it's completely healed my skin.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION FOR YOUR WORK?

I love looking through the history of makeup and being inspired by old techniques.

FAVOURITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

I love that everyday is different! I get to meet wonderful people (like the the Nakedvice team).

TIPS FOR BUILDING A CAREER AS A MAKEUP ARTIST?

Always stay teachable. Even after 18 years as makeup artist I am still learning. Makeup artisits who think they know it all get left behind because trends and products are always evolving so we have to be able to adapt and elevate our skills over and over again. Always reinventing the wheel!

And something I learnt that stuck with me is - knowing when to put the brush down. Striving for perfection can kill creativity! Sometimes all you need is a bronzer on the eyes and not three different eyeshadows.
